3D hand motion and color glove

Robert Wang, a MIT graduate student,  his advisor Jovan Popović has made a breakthrough recently for tracking the 3D hand gesture with color glove. 3D hand tracking is not a new technology. It is however interesting to see how they use color glove to track 3D hand gesture.

The benefits of the color glove are apparent.

(1) It is low cost, without any external sensors.

(2) The aesthetics of glove is valuable. With a special design, the appearance of the glove can be also pretty.

(3) It is lightweight and sturdy. Without attaching external sensors, the glove is light and not easily damaged.
