Mozilla JaegerMonkey Javascript engine, just for speed
September 8, 2010
Make it faster!
Still remember the Mozilla SpiderMonkey engine?, a very popular engine used by many web applications for example, Yahoo widgets, CouchDB, and FreeSWITCH.
The goal of Mozilla JaegerMonkey is simple, to beat other Just-in-Time (JIT) Javascript engines, for example, the super fast Google V8 engine, and the Apple Webkit’s Sunspider (JIT) engine.
How fast JaegerMonkey?
Unfortunately, the benchmark data are not available yet. This is most likely because JaegerMonkey is still in its early days. We will update this section in the future.
Applications?
Mozilla is starting the open game initiative. JaegerMonkey is the behind of scene of the open game initiative.
