The rival of Facebook? -DIASPORA*
Now, students can do more and contribute far more than ever
Students from Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, NY university has decided to challenge the Facebook. The full names of these four talent students are not publicly known yet (will be updated soon). But their decision to challenge the Facebook has been welcomed by the Kickstart. They raised 200, 642 dollars in the matter of month through the Kickstart.
The DIASPORA* team project homepage is here. They promised to deliver the first release of codes in the end of the summer, 2010. The codes is going to be open source with Affero General Public License. The Affero General Public License is similar to the GNU General Public License, a strong copyleft license.
