Music is under the influence of social& economical conditions and technology advancement. In this article, we will make a brief exploration of technology and pop music changes from 1980s – present.

It is true that it is easier for talented (sometimes not talented, but characteristic) individuas become famous overnight. But the average time period they stay in fame also become shorter. People are looking for new fun. When new fun are found, old fun are ignored. Those singers are kind of fashion products that their companies try to maximine profits out of their fame. Even though it is cruel to say it, the human society is commercializing whatever can make money, including love, friendship, believies and so on.

I agree singers’ singing-life-span can be shorter than before. But, I do not really fully agree, singers are solely the money machines for some companies. Singing is their life and love.
