Localwiki powers the open & local community collaboration

August 27, 2010

Local collaboration goes social

Philip Neustrom is rather productive in the past years. He has founded or co-founded various startups, for example, DavisWiki.org, VideoTheVote.org. These startups are mainly in the non-profit areas.

Philip now has the new idea, new invention. It is Localwiki, which is also a project on Kickstarter. The idea is very simple yet powerful. It is to make community collaboration become easy and possibly in a real time fashion. This project is possibly a natural extension of DavisWiki.org, which is used to document what is happening in Davis, California.

Localwiki has been endorsed by Knightfoundation and Wikihow. It is also being supported by many others. The details of the list can be found on the Localwiki page.
