September 1, 2010

Cross mobile platform

Today Apple just announced that each day about 230,000 iPhones/iPads are activated. Technically, however we are not really ready to make very decent cross mobile platform applications yet. Most of apps are solely designed for one mobile platform instead of all mobile platforms.

Co-existentially, today it was also announced that Openplug is required by Alcatel-Lucent, a lead company in IP, mobile, Network, and optics technology. Openplug can help to solve the cross mobile platform problem.

Openplug Elips studio can be used to make mobile applications for iPhone, Android, Windows, and Symbian. Open plug SDK is based on Adobe’s Flex action script and MXML. It is then complied to C++ for the binary. The different mobile device package is utilized for making the device specific package.

Openplug has various pricing models. It offers the free version to individual developers. The free version has all basic functions, which means you can make cross platform mobile applications. In the future, Openplug might be able to offer more features to freelancers, open developers to enhance its open community value.

Hey! Quick question that’s entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My site looks weird when viewing from my iphone. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to fix this issue.
If you have any recommendations, please share.
    With thanks!
