David Gerlenter: Yale Professor sue Apple and probably will win

David Gerlenter, a Yale Computer science professor. He invented the parallel computation, leading to Linda as well as JAVA.

His invention is not restricted to parallel computation. Actually he made more inventions and also the chief scientist at Mirror Worlds Technologies. It is hard to find much useful information about Mirror Worlds online. However, it is said that the Apple’s graph and document display techniques in its products spotlight, time machine all infringe David’s patents, which was sued for $625.5 million. David probably will win this law suit.

This may teach a lesson to a company, doing more careful research before you pursue a technology. Otherwise, you maybe behind of some smart people.
