October 13, 2010

StorageJS for mobile device, for local storage

It is a known problem that for mobile app, saving data to local is ubiquitous. It happens when Internet is down or slow. The local storage also functions as a cache to upload large files to internet. So how to do it?  There is one simple option, using StorageJS. It is a Javascript engine, which means it is best for Web mobile App. It is developed by Jens Arps.

With the following command, you can finish your storage task:

var value = storage.get(key);

storage.set(key, value);

storage.remove(key);

There is also a benchmark test of the file size using different methods including behaviour, cookies, Google Gears, Localstorage, and Widget.
